One of my favorite songs by Jobim is “Meu Amigo Radamés”, a tribute to Radamés Gnattali. That’s where I got the title for this one, which means “My friend Filó”. It is a tribute to my great friend Filó Machado, the person with the most swing that has ever set foot on Earth, especially written for our episode together on Música de Graça (Dani’s podcast). I tried to write it as if I were painting a portrait of him, lled with swing, turns and those special harmonies that only he knows how to create.
